Index levels · no transactable quote

Index calls, counted but never traded.

These are calls on index levels — the Nasdaq Composite, the Dow, the S&P 500, the Jakarta Composite. Indices do trade, through futures, ETFs and CFDs. What does not trade is the published level itself, so the stop quoted against it could not have been placed and no profit or loss can be claimed for the call. The only thing counted on this page is whether the direction was right.

No transactable quote · no P&L A correct call is not a trade.

45.5% Hit rate n = 33 decided (15 right / 18 wrong)
33 Calls with an outcome n = 33 of 70 records on this cohort
9 Still running n = 9 undecided · in no denominator above
0 Trades placed n = 0 — no P&L exists for this cohort, by definition

What a hit rate here is, and is not

  • It is a direction call. The desk published a view and could not act on it at the quoted level. "Right" means the index moved the way the call said; it does not mean anyone was paid.
  • It must never be read as a win rate. A win on every other page of this site is a realised trade — entry, ladder, stop, exit, and a signed return after stated costs. This cohort has none of those things.
  • n is shown beside every figure. A small cohort can produce a hit rate that means very little; the count is printed next to each number so it cannot read as conviction.
  • Nothing here enters a headline. A performance denominator counts only records where the quote was transactable and the rule denoted a loss on it. An index-level call satisfies neither.
The calls n = 70 records · no price, no return, no size

Sorted oldest first. Every row is a call on an index level, which is why no entry, exit or return appears beside it.

Why this is a separate page

  • Three populations, three units. A traded result is a realised trade with a signed return. A correct call on an index level is a hit with no position. A yield result is a move in a quoted rate. Blending them produces a headline nobody can interpret.
  • The question this avoids. "How much did you make on that Nasdaq call?" has one honest answer: nothing — the published level could not be transacted at.
